The sky is really the limit when you visit Kingaroy’s newest attraction, the Kingaroy Observatory.
The Observatory welcomes SkyWatchers of all ages to come and experience viewing the wonders of the universe through large telescopes and hear the on-going commentary by your personal astronomer, James Barclay.
Visitors get to see the stars and planets first-hand, with Mr Barclay pointing out the constellations and planets on the sky with a special laser pointer.
But it’s looking through the powerful telescopes that impresses the most, as stargazers can clearly look at the surface of the moon or the rings of Saturn.
Day and Night Shows are available and bookings are essential for all shows. The best viewing dates for moon, planets and stars are listed on the Kingaroy Observatory website.
